Our story
In 2003, on the serene shores of Mount Lavinia, a shared dream took root in the hearts of local conservationists led by Milan Perera. Inspired by the beauty and plight of sea turtles, Our Turtle Conservation Project (OTCP) was born. From humble beginnings, OTCP has blossomed into a sanctuary for these ancient mariners, offering protection, rehabilitation, and a chance at survival against increasing threats.
Our journey is woven with the stories of countless sea turtles we've nurtured back to health and the dedicated volunteers who've stood by us, transforming this mission into a global call to action. Through education, hands-on conservation, and community involvement, we strive to ignite a collective responsibility towards marine life preservation.
